As a part of the ‘From Data to Action Faculty Series’ conducted by our Research Dean’s Office, we carried out our third action today at the Faculty of Language and History-Geography. At our meeting, information was provided specifically about the TÜBİTAK 3501 Career Development Program and other TÜBİTAK funding mechanisms. Together with our faculty’s young and experienced academics, we have determined the steps to be followed in the project application process, the priority research areas, and a road map specific to the faculty. The Tomorrow Today in Research 2025 Turkey event, organized by Elsevier and hosted in collaboration with Hacettepe University, was held. At the event attended by speakers from prestigious universities, our Vice Rector for Research and Internationalization and Dean of Research, Prof. Dr. Kaan Orhan delivered a presentation on ‘Data-Driven Research Strategies and AI-Powered Transformation: SciVal-Based Insights and Applications at Ankara University’.
As Office of the Dean of Research, we have taken another important step forward in our journey to strengthen our university’s research ecosystem! The “Artificial Intelligence-Supported DataBeeg Data Analysis Training” which we organized in our three campuses, was conducted with high participation. While Expert Trainer Fırat Yılmaz from DataBeeg was training our participants, Expert Statistician Ahmet Gül shared his experience in TÜİK. We thank our Faculties of Science, Engineering, and Communication for their support and collaboration in the organization and all students, academics and administrative staff from various faculties and vocational schools who contributed to the success of the event.
As Ankara University Office of the Dean of Research, in collaboration with our Digital Education Coordination Office we are continuing our preparations for a new platform that will support all our members on their research projects. This digital guide will consolidate all paths to educational resources for software, frequently used in research into a single hub. The platform which will offer 24/7 access aims to save time by facilitating access to accurate information. We will continue to provide you with updates on the developments.
