According to scientific evaluations of 1001 project proposals made to Research Support Programs Directorate on the 1st term of 2024: Ankara University with 18 out of 355 total supported projects has the second most projects in Türkiye among 103 institutions. Ankara University with 13 out of total 269 projects which were supported directly has the second most among 891 institutions, and with 5 out of total 86 projects which were supported without waiting the next term Ankara University has the fifth most among 51 institutions. We are grateful to the researchers of Ankara University for their cotnributions.

Online meeting regarding the event “Global Sustainable Meeting”, which will be held by the Times Higher Education (THE) in 2025, was held with the participation of Vice Rector and Dean of Research Prof. Dr. Kaan ORHAN, European Union Educational Programs Institutional Coordinator Assist. Prof. Dr. Cafer YILDIRIM, and THE Organizational Director Lachyn ITALMAZOVA on August 30, 2024. In the meeting, discussions were made regarding the meeting, which will be held next year in Türkiye, creating an agenda on organizational cooperation.

Turkey’s first and only aviation, space, and technology festival, TEKNOFEST, was held in Adana this year. This year, four teams of Ankara University reached the finals at TEKNOFEST, where students participated with various projects. The “ANKÜ-CAN” team, established within the Institute of Nuclear Sciences, competed in the nuclear instrumentation and control system category of the Nuclear Energy Technologies Design Contest, which was held for the first time this year. Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry Faculty Members and Students' Project Conducted Under the Coordination of EU Education Programs and EU Projects Office were Granted Support! The project “Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry Intangible Cultural Heritage Study: Traditional Turkish Theater - Central Anatolia” was found successful in the evaluation and was awarded funding. SKS Instructor Ozan DEMİRCİOĞLU is working as the Project Coach, and Faculty of Dentistry students Ecem Zöhre ALAKABAK and Üzeyir Burak SIMSAR are taking part in the project as researchers. Ankara University Faculty of Sports Sciences Academic Members’ Project Conducted under the Coordination of EU Education Programs and EU Projects Office were Granted Support! In the EU Erasmus + KA182 Mobility of Sports Personnel project type, the project named “Grassroots Cycling Movement” led by Prof. Dr. Semiyha TUNCEL, Dean of Ankara University Faculty of Sports Sciences, has been awarded a grant in the 2024 call period. Project named DIGIDENT, which was initiated by Academic member of the Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Şaziye SARI, and has in its project team the Dean of Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Kaan ORHAN, Assist. USN&W-2024-2025 World Universities Rankings Were Announced. Every year, US News and World-Report-Global Ranking (USN&N) ranks higher education institutions globally, regionally, and country-wise in accordance with various indicators. In the USN&W the top 2.250 universities of the World were listed. In Ankara University, USN&W 2024-2025 Rankings; Among the Top 1000 World Universities was ranked 769th, among the Top 500 Asian Universities was ranked 230th, and among Turkish Universities was ranked 11th.
