The preparatory meeting for Ankara University Integrated Research Centre (BÜTAM) was held on December 18, 2024, coordinated by the Office of the Dean of Research. QS, one of the world's leading ranking organizations, has announced the 2025 World Sustainability Rankings. Using a specialized methodology developed to measure universities’ capacity to tackle environmental, social, and governance issues, the studies of 1,744 universities worldwide in these fields are analyzed by the institution. Ankara University achieved a significant milestone in the 2025 QS World Universities Sustainability Rankings, rising from the 941–960 range to 486th place. Vice Rector and Dean of Research of Ankara University, Prof. Dr. Kaan Orhan, visited Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s Deep Space, Artificial Intelligence, and Aviation Laboratories, which is a pioneer in China’s Moon and Mars missions, and examined the studies on-site. Within the scope of the visit, detailed information was obtained about projects related to China's Moon and Mars missions and the innovative applications of artificial intelligence in these areas. With the collaboration of Ankara University’s Institutional Data Coordinatorship, a meeting on data coordination was held on November 26, 2024, with the participation of Research Information System (AVESİS) system officer Expert Burak Sarıca. The main items on the agenda included data collection methods, the current methodology of AVESİS, and recommendations for improving these processes.
