Our university has signed a new cooperation protocol with Positive Technology Limited Company to strengthen its education and research infrastructure. Signed by our Vice-Rector and Dean of Research, Prof. Dr. Kaan Orhan, on behalf of the Rectorate of Ankara University, and Gazanfer Başel, General Manager of Positive Technology, this cooperation will bring a modern technology area to life on our campus. Office of The Dean of Research visited the YÖK Project Development and Support Directorate to exchange views on the ranking of research universities. During the visit, our university's research capacity, project productivity and ranking criteria were evaluated.    

As the Office of the Dean of Research, we participated in the 2025 Academic General Assembly of Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry and shared current data on our university's research ecosystem. Within the scope of the Assembly, detailed publication and authorship analyses reflecting the scientific output of the departments and sub-departments within the faculty were shared with academic staff. We would like to thank the Faculty of Dentistry Dean's Office for their hospitality and productive collaboration during this data-driven review process, which contributes to our strategic goals.

The third board meeting of Office of the Dean of Research was held on 29 December 2025, chaired by Vice-Rector and Research Dean Prof. Dr. Kaan Orhan. We congratulate Prof. Dr. İlke Göçmen, our faculty member at Ankara University Faculty of Law, who was awarded the Jury Special Prize in the field of Social Sciences by TÜBA TESEP (Scientific Copyright Works). Turkey’s first beamline abroad, SESAME TXPES Beamline, established with the support of the TARLA (Turkish Accelerator and Radiation Laboratory) infrastructure, was inaugurated at a ceremony held in Jordan. The opening ceremony which has critical importance to our country and our university, was attended online by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar, while our Vice Rector and Dean of Research, Prof. Dr. Kaan Orhan, represented our university in person in Jordan. Ankara University hosted senior executives from Kyushu University, one of Japan’s most respected representatives in the academic world. The delegation, led by Kyushu University Vice President Prof. Dr. SHIMIZU Shuji, met with our university administration to discuss steps to further advance existing cooperation in reseach and education. Ankara University the Office of the Dean of Research actively participated in the 4th Research Dean’s Office Workshop organized by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University on November 19-20, 2025. Vice Rector and Dean of Research Prof. Dr. Kaan Orhan shared the university’s research vision and cooperation strategies in his presentation at the ARDEK Sessions. A delegation from Ankara University, led by our Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar, attended the 80th anniversary ceremony of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (AMEA). Our Vice Rector and Dean of Research Prof. Dr. Kaan Orhan, who is a member of our delegation, was presented with AMEA membership and 80th anniversary pin by AMEA President Prof. Dr. İsa Habibbaylı.
