The ‘Research Deans Workshop,’ organised in collaboration between Ankara University and Aksaray University, was successfully completed with high-level participation from both institutions.

The Ankara University delegation, chaired by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar, included our Vice-Rector and Dean of Research, Prof. Dr. Kaan Orhan; our BAP Coordinator and Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. Necmettin Ünal; our TTO Coordinator and Assistant Dean of Research, Prof. Dr. Aytuğ Okumuş; our Deputy Dean of Research, Prof. Dr. Esin Ebru Onbaşılar, Lecturer Dr. İrem Buran, and Mr. Ümit Can İnözü. During the workshop, our delegation shared experiences by giving comprehensive presentations on the research processes, project support, and automation systems implemented within our university.

During the programme, Aksaray University Technopark was visited in the company of Aksaray Governor Mr. Murat Duru and Aksaray University Rector Prof. Dr. Alpay Arıbaş. During the visit, R&D studies, entrepreneurial activities and technology-focused projects carried out within the Technopark were examined on site, and possible technological collaborations between the two universities were evaluated.

As part of the visit, Aksaray Mayor Dr. Evren Dinçer, who holds a doctorate from Ankara University, was visited at his office. He was presented with the Sun Course and badge, symbols of our university, and thanked for his gracious hospitality. The delegation’s programme in Aksaray concluded with a visit to the Somuncu Baba Museum, one of the city’s spiritual heritage sites.
