At the Ankara University 2025-2026 Academic Year Opening Ceremony, certificates were presented to 16 faculty members who won awards in 6 categories under the Office of the Dean of Research (ARDEK) Awards, which were held for the first time this year.

The Ankara University 2025-2026 Academic Year Opening Ceremony was held on November 7, 2025, at the Faculty of Medicine Ord. Prof. Dr. Abdülkadir Noyan Conference Hall, with the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Mr. İbrahim Yumaklı, in attendance.

The opening speeches of the ceremony, which was attended by the university’s academic staff and a large number of students, were delivered by our Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar and Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Mr. İbrahim Yumaklı.

Following the opening speeches, the ceremony proceeded to the presentation of the “ARDEK 2025 Awards” held for the first time this year to encourage the university’s research performance. The certificates were presented to 16 faculty members who won awards in 6 different categories by Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar, Minister İbrahim Yumaklı, and other protocol members.

Following the ceremony, Vice Rector and Dean of Research Prof. Dr. Kaan Orhan congratulated all the academics who were awarded prizes. Prof. Dr. Orhan stated that he believes that the awards, which were given for the first time this year, will serve as an important source of motivation to strengthen the research ecosystem at the university and encourage scientific production.
