Ankara University hosted senior executives from Kyushu University, one of Japan’s most respected representatives in the academic world. The delegation, led by Kyushu University Vice President Prof. Dr. SHIMIZU Shuji, met with our university administration to discuss steps to further advance existing cooperation in reseach and education.

During the meetings held at our University’s Rectorate building, strategic issues aimed at strengthening scientific and academic relations between the two institutions were discussed. The talks aimed to expand the scope of the joint projects that are currently being successfully carried out.

The main topics of the discussions included including and diversifying students and faculty Exchange programs, implementing joint research projects that could apply for bilateral and multilateral international funding, and creating opportunities for developing dual degrees and joint programs at the graduate level. These efforts aim to mutually enhance the scientific production capacity of both universities.

The visit concluded with mutual expressions of goodwill and a commitment to accelerate cooperation efforts. It is anticipated that these discussions will soon yield concrete results that will significantly contribute to then academic communitie of both universities and the global scientific communtiy.
