Coordinated by the Office of the Dean of Research and in collaboration with the Institutional Data Coordination Office, a “Research Performance Monitoring Process Information Meeting” was held on 6 May 2025, with the participation of all academic units across our university.

The opening address of the meeting, attended by representatives from Ankara University’s academic units, was delivered by Vice Dean of Research Prof. Dr. Ebru Onbaşılar.

During the meeting, the Office of the Dean of Research shared detailed information about the research data collection processes conducted with academic units. Participants were also informed about how the integration with VARSIS (Asset Management System), used within our university, has been implemented to enable these processes to be carried out more systematically.

In addition, information was provided by the Office of the Dean of Research on the documentation and workflow processes covered under the newly implemented Postdoctoral Research Directive at our university.

Another key agenda item was guidance on system usage. The Institutional Data Coordination Office offered technical instructions on how to enter data through the VARSIS system.

At the end of the meeting, a Q&A session was held to address participants’ questions and suggestions, and contributions for improving the processes were discussed.

As the Office of the Dean of Research, we consider such coordination meetings essential for strengthening our institutional research capacity and for ensuring the healthy, transparent, and sustainable collection and monitoring of research data at our university.

We extend our sincere thanks to all members of Ankara University who participated.
