Vice Rector and Dean of Research of Ankara University, Prof. Dr. Kaan Orhan, visited Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s Deep Space, Artificial Intelligence, and Aviation Laboratories, which is a pioneer in China’s Moon and Mars missions, and examined the studies on-site.
Within the scope of the visit, detailed information was obtained about projects related to China’s Moon and Mars missions and the innovative applications of artificial intelligence in these areas. Artificial intelligence systems used in space research and data analytics in deep space missions, studies on the robotics and autonomous systems integrations were reviewed. Discussions were held regarding the contributions of projects supporting China’s space program to scientific progress and opportunities for international collaboration.
This visit, that took place in line with Ankara University’s international research vision, is expected to lay the groundwork for future joint projects in the fields of artificial intelligence, space research, and scientific innovation.
