Ankara University Vice Dean of Research Prof. Dr. Aytuğ Okumuş met with students from Etlik Sınav Anadolu High School and shared our University’s Research Vision and YKS Success with them.

At the event held at the Etlik Sınav Schools campus, Prof. Dr. Aytuğ Okumuş gave a comprehensive presentation to young university applicants. Main point of the presentation was combination of Ankara University’s established academic tradition and innovative research ecosystem.

In her speech Prof. Dr. Okumuş gave detailed information about the ‘Ankara University 2025 Higher Education Institutions Examination Report’ prepared by our Office of The Dean of Research which presents University’s success in education with data. Referring to the report’s findings, Okumuş shared Ankara University’s achievements in YKS score types, the preference rates of our departments, and the academic achievement profiles of students with participants. Emphasizing that this success was not accidental, Okumuş highlighted our university’s qualified education approach and strong academic staff.

In her presentation, Prof. Dr. Okumuş emphasized the opportunities offered to the students by Ankara University as a ‘Research University’ noting that students have the opportunity to participate in national and international projects, work in modern laboratories, and conduct research alongside leading academics in their field while still at undergraduate level. She stated that these opportunities enable our graduates to start their careers one step ahead.

The presentation, aimed at high school students at critical stage of career planning, continued interactively with student’ questions about university life, campus facilities, and future goals. Prof. Dr. Aytuğ Okumuş wished the students success in their YKS preparation process and invited them to become a part of the Ankara University.
